I stay hot and freeze out my family with the a-c every summer, LOL. This post was so true, Nancy – we all need words of encouragement and prayer sometimes. Notes and letter writing are a lost art now, I think! Good post!

Nancy, yet another wonderful post from you, that really touches my heart. The still quiet voice of the Holy Spirit has been telling me recently to slow down and spend more time in intimate fellowship with Him. At times I have felt as though I have been on a treadmill, which has no OFF switch. Even when I spend time with the Lord, my mind is still racing. Thank you for confirming what the Lord has been telling me. I felt so relaxed and at peace, as I was reading your post.

Gosh, I enjoyed your insight on this scripture from Romans, it gave me food for thought, especially your last sentence.
As a similar thought came to me this morning as I was driving.
“Christ did so much for me – what am I REALLY doing for Him?”

What a sweet story, Nancy. That was really thoughtful of the young man! You are so right, where we are right now is the mission field God has given us. Sometimes it’s hard when you are wanting to GO to someplace specific on missions (like Africa!), and it hasn’t happened yet, but your post is very encouraging that God can use us where we’re at today.
